Wall mounted kitchen plate rack with cup hooks

This gorgeous unit is in my tiny kitchen now....over the moon when I bought it last Sunday on the car boot sale for £4 ! it was done the same day ! (I couldn't wait to see it on my kitchen wall ;-)
So first I've used 180 sanding paper and sanded down a bit but I didn't tried to remove the old varnish completely.
Then I applied iron wool and vinegar mixture and waited till completely dry.
At the end I painted the unit with white paint I would say: messily :-)---> in a messy way because I knew I would sand it down again to reach the vintage, distressed effect....seen as above :-)

wall cabinet

primer + antique white (chalk paint) /gently sanded between layers + clear wax
+ dark wax in the corners
black & white design:( paper glued with PVA and varnished)

dressing table mirror

it was orange'y and not very pretty...I've used my favourite colours: black & white

woody parts: "White ash" varnish

coffee table

this was the colour before the transformation ;-/
The top has been sanded and painted with
"white ash" varnish to give the effect of white wood.
The black & white design is a paper I've bought in a local hobby craft shop:
 glued with PVA & varnished

...after a while decided to add a little something...
 matching tray and the coasters...
